Sleep-Disordered Breathing is Linked to Inflammation, Women Carrying a Higher Risk than Men

In a recent study of large multi-ethnic sample of US adults, the markers of Sleep-Disordered Breathing had positive associations with the presence of CRP levels, an inflammatory marker. The study found that the disorder was more present in women and postmenopausally women were 2.6 times more likely to develop the disorder than perimenopausally women.
