Throw in broccoli, spinach, kalian, bok choy, and many more such group of vegetables in your daily diet. You will see that this is the first amongst the rest of the tips during pregnancy as a balanced diet not only ensure good health, it will also make sure you get sufficient fibre to avoid constipation, a very common problem during pregnancy.

Next, drink lots of water too, to again avoid constipation and to keep a good complexion. Due to hormonal changes, some may have sudden eruptions of pimples so keep well hydrated by drinking lots of water.

Ensuring sufficient intake of iron and calcium are important tips during pregnancy too. You will need much more iron when you are pregnant. Iron is required for making hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen. Extra iron is needed for your growing baby and placenta.

Having enough calcium will help prevent losing your bone density as the baby will use the mineral for development of its bones and teeth. The calcium stored during pregnancy will be used to make milk after baby is born. So, getting plenty of calcium is vital for both you and the baby. Although it is always best to get these minerals from the diet, you may take some daily vitamin supplement to ensure you are getting enough. Do consult your doctor before popping such supplements though.

Adding to the list of tips during pregnancy is exercise. Exercise during pregnancy is usually safe. Swimming, walking, prenatal yoga and Pilates are good prenatal exercises. However, when in doubt, seek clarifications with your doctor before you embark on any exercise regimen. Some believe that prenatal massages are said to improve blood circulation and relax tense muscles.

Take note of the shoes you wear. Drop the 3-inch heels and go for flats. Most importantly, ensure your soles are anti-slip. This may sound basic but you do not want unnecessary accident to happen so, keep this amongst the few tips during pregnancy in mind.
